Oasis Legal Services provides quality immigration legal services to under-represented groups, focusing on LGBTQIA+ communities. They are mailing out impact reports and thanking their donors who ensure that Oasis can continue doing their essential work. They need your help to make sure they can do this!
Where: Oasis Legal Services Office @ 1900 Addison St., Ste. 100, Berkeley
When: Tuesday 2/22, Wednesday 2/23, Thursday 2/24, or Friday 2/25.
You can choose your date; you will volunteering for a block of 2-3 hours, and you can choose your start time anywhere from 10am to 2pm.
Tasks:
Stuffing, addressing, and stamping envelopes
Affix return address labels on impact report envelopes
Write donor addresses on impact report envelopes
Insert donation return slips into donation return envelopes
Insert donation return envelopes + save-the-date postcards into the impact reports
Creating client thank you note cards for donors:
Use large paper cutter to cut large cardstock to card size
Cut pre-printed client thank you messages
Use glue stick to paste the messages into the cards cut
Covid safety precautions:
All staff are vaccinated + boosted. You will be required to provide proof of vaccination + booster. Booster is required if the date of your second vaccination shot was 5 months ago or more. You will be provided with a private office so that you can volunteer without a mask on. The private office will be sanitized before you arrive and hand sanitizer will also be provided. Masks are required to be worn in all common areas
After signing up below, you will receive an automatic email putting you in contact with Oasis Legal Services. Please respond to that email letting them know what day you would like to volunteer. Please have a second choice in case your first choice has already been taken.
