Volunteer for “Nourishing Neighbors” with Alameda County Community Food Bank This Saturday!
The Saturday before Thanksgiving is one of the year’s biggest grocery shopping days—and also kicks off one of Alameda County Community Food Bank’s biggest annual campaigns. Join the Food Bank and Safeway on Saturday, November 19, for “Nourishing Neighbors,” during which Safeway customers can donate at the register to supply healthy, nonperishable food for families in Alameda County’s community. How do we pull it off? Volunteers!
Volunteer Roles: Volunteers will engage shoppers and ask for their participation in the holiday campaign inside the store. Past volunteer support has made a world of difference in encouraging Safeway shoppers to provide nutritious food to neighbors during this challenging time. Your participation is vital to to the campaign’s success!
Available Shifts: Saturday, November 19th
Shift 1: 10 AM–12:30 PM
Shift 2 12PM - 2PM
Locations: Safeway stores in the below cities (exact location will be announced once you have signed up)
Albany, Berkeley, and Emeryville
Upper Oakland
Fruitvale and Alameda
