Support the San Francisco Community Health Center’s TDoV Reception!

The International Trans Day of Visibility (TDoV) is an annual holiday celebrated around the world. The day is dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments and victories of transgender & gender non-conforming people while raising awareness of the work that is still needed to save trans lives. The holiday was founded in 2009 as a reaction to the lack of LGBT holidays celebrating transgender people’s successes.

This year, Transgender Day of Visibility event to be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022, 6:00pm- 9:30pm at the SOMArts Gallery, 934 Brannan, San Francisco. A TDOV Planning Committee was formed three months ago. The event will be a reception/cocktail event featuring performances, free drinks and light food bites and dancing

Volunteer roles:

  • ID and Vax Check: Must be 21+

  • Program Production Crew

  • Bartender: Must be 21+

  • Barback: Must be 21+ and able to lift 25 Lbs.

  • Usher

  • Server/Kitchen Crew: Must be able to life 25 Lbs.

  • Safety and Security: Must be 21+ and have security experience

  • Set Up and/or Break Down: Must be able to lift at least 25 Lbs.

All volunteers must wear black shirts and black pants/jeans. All volunteers must be fully vaccinated including booster and able to show proof.

Organization Description:

The San Francisco Community Health Center is an LGBTQ and people of color health organization that believes EVERYONE deserves to be healthy and needs access to the highest quality health care. They foster resilience, strength, connection, health, and wellness for all communities. They believe that health care will always be grounded in social justice. Located in the heart of the Tenderloin, they serve marginalized populations including the transgender and GNC communities, unhoused HIV positive folks, drug users, elders and youth.
