Celebrate Earth Day Weekend with the Golden Gate Parks Conservancy!

The Golden Gate Parks Conservancy is going all out for Earth Day to make San Francisco parks shine! From beach cleanups to habitat restoration, there is something for everyone. The Parks Conservancy will be at different sites around the city so you can pick what you’re most passionate about! See the options below:

Stinson Beach Cleanup & Create with Nature: 10am-Noon and 11am-1pm

Help protect endangered species and marine animals from the dangers of human-made trash, as well as keep this beautiful beach looking nice and safe for everyone who visits! Stick around and join collaborating artists in sculpture-making with natural materials, making music, dancing, and more.

Ocean Beach Cleanup, Stairwell #17, across from the Beach Chalet: 9am-11am

Ocean Beach Cleanup, Great Highway at Taraval Street: 1pm-3pm

Make a difference while enjoying a day at the beach. Ocean Beach is a beautiful three mile stretch of coastline popular with local residents and visitors alike for a range of recreational activities. Help lead by example, steward the coastline, and keep SF beaches beautiful, clean, and safe for all to enjoy.

Landscaping and Maintenance at Crissy Field: 9am-Noon

learn about the history of this area while maintaining pathways and natural areas in preparation for bird nesting season. Activities will include trimming back vegetation and weeding near the lagoon.

The Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy exists to preserve the Golden Gate National Parks, enhance the park visitor experience, and build a community dedicated to conserving the parks for the future. They are dedicated to protecting these parks, making them relevant and accessible for all communities, and instilling a sense of stewardship in this and future generations to ensure their vitality forever.
