Deliver Holiday Gift Bags to LGBTQ+ Elders

  • Bob Ross LGBT Senior Center 75 Laguna Street San Francisco, CA, 94102 United States (map)

OpenHouse SF is giving holiday gift bags to queer and trans elders in San Francisco on Saturday, December 18, Monday, December 20, and Tuesday December 21! They have prepared everything to honor these community members, and they need your help to deliver these wonderful gifts! OpenHouse is looking for volunteers (preferably those who can drive) to pick up bags and deliver them on a route to 8-10 community members. The coordinators will provide you with bags, a route, and an essential worker parking placard. There are a limited number of routes that can be done on foot as well!

You will arrive to the Bob Ross LGBT Senior Center within the pickup window, where you will get your route and supplies, then its up to you to deliver! Each route is designed to take less than 2 hours. OpenHouse is very grateful to everyone who is able to help their community by showing up for this seasonal service opportunity.

The times for each day are as follows:

Saturday, 12/18: 11am-2pm

Monday, 12/20: 2pm-4pm

Tuesday, 12/21: 11am-2pm

Once you have signed up, you will receive a confirmation email connecting you to Dottie Luxenburg, your point-of-contact at OpenHouse. Please let her know which day you would like to help with so OpenHouse can prepare!

About the Organization:
