Calling all animal lovers! Join Gay for Good as they partner with their friends at San Diego Humane Society’s Walk For Animals event. This event will help make a difference for more than 40,000 animals that rely on the care of the San Diego Humane Society!
You will be supporting one of the Water Stations distributing water to the walkers and the pups that are walking for the event. You will ensure that the people and pups stay hydrated and stay on course towards the finish line. This is a great opportunity to get involved and make a difference for our four-legged friends.

Dining Out For Life SD: Dine Out. End HIV.
Dining Out For Life SD: Dine Out. End HIV.
Dining Out for Life Ambassadors (DOFL) San Diego are placed at participating restaurants that commit to donating a percentage (25%-100%) of their sales on that day to The Center. 100% of the funds raised go to HIV services and prevention programs at The Center.
The role of the ambassador is to approach diners and share information about Dining Out for Life San Diego and the prizes diners can win simply by filling out a donation envelope or donating via the QR code. Volunteers will also be giving diners an “I Dined!” sticker.
DOFL takes place on Thursday, April 25th and there are three shifts – breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The timeframes are roughly 7am – 11am, 11am – 3pm, and 5pm – 8/9pm. The biggest need being the evening shift.
*All volunteers must attend one of their one-hour in-person training.

The Creek to Bay Cleanup shares the honor with Coastal Cleanup Day as one of the largest single-day environmental action events in San Diego County. Giddy Up! Calling all horse lovers! Join Gay for Good as they partner with their friends at REINS to help them prepare for their Annual Spring Classic. This is their annual showcase event where the students of the programs have the opportunity to showcase their accomplishments. You will be helping with painting posts and fences, cleaning and clearing various areas, doing maintenance around the grounds, and other tasks they have.
And you get to do all this work while enjoying horses all around you! The horsemanship program they operate supports the physical, mental, and emotional health of disabled children and adults throughout the community. This is a great opportunity to hang out with horses and get involved while giving back!

Who is ready to help prepare meals? G4G San Diego is excited to partner with their friends at PATH (People Assisting The Homeless) San Diego to help their chef prepare and plate food that will be served for breakfast, lunch and dinner to benefit the residents of Connections Housing. This is a great opportunity to provide a meal to someone in need and make a difference in the community.

LOCATION: 1250 6th Avenue, San Diego CA 92101
Enter the building on the A Street entrance (Not 6th Street) and check in with security. Inform them that you are here to serve dinner and they will direct you to the kitchen.
PARKING: There is no designated parking at PATH. There are parking meters around the building that range from 1 hour to 2 hours and cost $1.25/hour. Parking garages can also be found around the building with an average price of $2.00/20 minutes. There is residential parking located at Seventh Avenue & Beech Street or Seventh Avenue & Cedar Street (approximately 5 blocks away) with free parking for 2 hours.
Volunteers are welcome to use public transportation or purchase parking in a different location.

Gay for Good has two great activities that volunteers will be supporting. Grab your paint brushes or bring your organizational skills! You all will be assisting with playhouse priming. The playhouse priming is a vital step in the playhouse builds.
The playhouses that everyone will be working on will be provided to local families, child development centers, and the ReStore locations throughout San Diego. Habitat for Humanity is also closing one of their other ReStore locations. Gay for Good will be organizing and helping them consolidate the two locations into one.

There is a need for volunteers at the Queerest Halloween Party for Youth & Families!
Join TransFamily Support Services for a Spooky Block-Style Party. An Afternoon full of fun for the whole family. In partnership with Fabulous Hillcrest.
The event will be held on Saturday, October 28th from 11AM-2PM in the Hillcrest neighborhood of San Diego, at 1500 University Ave, San Diego, CA 92103.
Volunteers are needed to assist with the following tasks:
Games assisting with a game booth
Volunteer Check In assisting with bag check and directing volunteers to their stations when they arrive
Registration scanning tickets as guests arrive
Sensory Area a quiet area for people to take breaks from the event.
Water/Snack Stations handing out water and snacks to guests
Set Up arriving early to assist with setting up the event
Tear Down/Clean Up clean up after the event
On event day, all volunteers will work in shifts - there will be a morning shift and an afternoon shift.

Howdy! Calling all horse lovers! Join Gay for Good as they partner with their friends at REINS to help them prepare for their Annual Country Hoedown. This is their largest fund-raising event, and you will be helping organize tables, cleaning and clearing various areas, doing maintenance around the grounds, and other tasks they have for you all.
And you get to do all this work while enjoying horses all around. The horsemanship program they operate supports the physical, mental, and emotional health of disabled children and adults throughout the community. This is a great opportunity to hang out with horses and get involved while giving back!
The event is on Saturday, October 14 from 9:00am to 12:30pm at 4461 S. Mission Road, Fallbrook CA 92028 (Meet up at the front of the location.)

Gay for Good is headed to Ocean Beach for a beach cleanup with Surfrider San Diego! A day out on the sand—let’s get moving volunteers and clean our beach! Join them as they partner with their friends at Surfrider San Diego for a beach cleanup.
San Diego is still feeling the impacts from Tropical Storm Hillary and this is a great way to get out and help make a difference in the community. Help clean all the trash and debris that has made its way to our beautiful beaches. This is a great opportunity to give back to our environment and our community!
The event is on Saturday, October 7 from 8:45am to 11:00am at 1910 Abbott Street, San Diego CA 92107.

Gay For Good San Diego mobilizes lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ+) and ally volunteers to promote diversity, foster inclusion and strengthen ties to the broader San Diego community. They facilitate welcoming, inclusive service projects in support of a wide range of causes throughout San Diego, and they look forward to meeting you.
September is Hunger Awareness Month!
Gay for Good is partnering with Feeding San Diego to make a difference in their community by boxing and sorting food pallets that will be distributed to fellow San Diegans. Along with the food sorting, they will also be preparing meal packs for San Diego families and households. This is a great opportunity to get involved, make a difference and be a part of this nationwide campaign.

Meeting Location: At the front of the building, parking is available around the warehouse so feel free to park in any open spot.

Face coverings are encouraged to be worn by unvaccinated volunteers.

All We Got San Diego is a grassroots organization focusing on mutual aid as solidarity, not charity.
Volunteer Role: Volunteers help buy dry food during the week, pack food into bags, deliver the food, and also hand out food in the park.
