Summer Mentoring at Rainbow Labs: Application Deadline TODAY!

Rainbow Labs Sports Lab 2024 Zoom Orientation Day

Apply for ONE BOLD SUMMER, Rainbow Labs' summer mentoring program!

Their mentors are changing lives over eight weeks by putting in their own time to support and empower the next generation of youth. Their One Bold Summer program will involve an incredible combination of Rainbow Labs' programming from throughout the rest of the year, including community organization field trips, storytelling curriculum, arts programming, and sports experiences.

A few key notes on mentoring with Rainbow Labs:

  • Training: All Mentors will receive training (no prior mentoring experience needed!)

  • Group Mentoring: You're not alone in this! All mentoring throughout One Bold Summer is done in groups with 2 mentors for 3-7 youth

  • Supplies: Like the youth, you all will receive swag and other supplies needed for the summer program.

  • Open Mind: Come with an open mind as you will go through and explore the curriculum alongside your group of youth.

  • COVID Vaccination: They require vaccination to COVID19 prior to being a mentor.

  • Background Check - They require all mentors to undergo a LiveScan background check. Anything that might come up on your background check is not necessarily grounds for closing your application--just for further conversation.

  • LGBTQ+ - Must be part of the LGBTQ+ Community. They love their ally advocates and will have future opportunities for you!

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Applicants must be in/around LA.
