Volunteer: Lee Herrick with Jen Cheng at Palabras Literary Salon
LGBTQ Community Leader and Poet Laureate of West Hollywood Jen Cheng invites LGBTQ friends and allies to volunteer and support this wonderful event.
Volunteer help is needed in any of the following areas to fit your personality or interests:
Pre-event: sharing the event with social circles to encourage attendance
Post-event: stacking up chairs, cleaning up the reception.
Enjoy an afternoon with Palabras Literary Salon, a BIPOC-centered literary community event co-hosted with Latinx with Plants, in the open air greenhouse in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles.
They are honored to feature the California State Poet Laureate Lee Herrick (Scar and Flower) reading his poetry in conversation with host and West Hollywood Poet Laureate Jen Cheng (Braided Spaces).
The reading and conversation will be from 2pm-3pm and reception is 3-3:30pm. This special edition of the salon invites you to join in our community building efforts - please send your questions ahead of time and share your questions at the salon.
This salon's theme is "perserverance," celebrating May as Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage month.
