Support the Women's Cancer Resource Center’s Swim A Mile/Move A Mile Event!

The Women’s Cancer Resource Center (WCRC) is hosting a fun weekend event where swimmers and movers raise funds to support WCRC's programs and services, all of which are provided free of charge. Delicious, homemade food and beverages are provided to all throughout the day. Support the movers and the WCRCs services by volunteering!

The event takes place on Saturday, 4/30 and Sunday, 5/1. Shifts are roughly 2 hours, spanning from 6:30am to 5:00pm.

The following roles are available:

  • Registration

  • Waiver table

  • Greeting

  • Volunteer check-in

  • Kitchen crew

  • Lane director/monitor

  • Lap counter

  • Floaters/Alternate lap counter

  • Swag bag distribution

  • Pool set-up and clean-up

  • Food transport

After signing up below, you will get an email prompting you to finish signing up by selecting a shift on the WCRC’s sign up form. Please have a shift role and time in mind, as well as a back up, in case your first choice is taken.

Organization Description:

The Women's Cancer Resource Center is a social justice organization providing supportive services to underserved women with cancer. They help people with cancer navigate through the often overwhelming health care system so that they can get the appropriate care and treatment they need.
