Volunteer with East Bay Front Runners & Walkers at their 19th Annual Pride Run and Walk

The East Bay Front Runners & Walkers signature event of the year is their annual Pride Run & Walk at Lake Merritt in Oakland, CA, in support of National Coming Out Day, October 11th! The event is on October 14, 2023, at 8:00 AM, located at 568 Bellevue Avenue Oakland, CA 9410.

Offering a 5K walk, a 5K run, and a 10K run, this event brings together our LGBTQ+ community and directly supports local LGBTQ+ and youth running organizations. Past beneficiaries include the Pacific Center for Human Growth, the Oakland LGBTQ Community Center, Oakland Gay Men’s Chorus, and the Midway Shelter of Alameda.

Volunteers will cover tables to direct or give running/walking participants information. Other roles will have volunteers on the route to ensure the participants are staying on the marked course.

Volunteers must able to stand for a period of time as a course monitor, and be comfortable working with the public. For more details, visit this link.
