Alameda County Community Food Bank passionately pursues a hunger-free community
Volunteer Roles: Volunteers will be sorting, and packing thousands of pounds of farm-fresh produce and dry goods for those of us struggling with hunger.
Date and Time: June 10, 8:30am-11:30am and 12:30pm-3:30pm
Location: 7900 Edgewater Drive, Oakland CA 94621
Requirements:
Stand and walk on concrete for up to 3 hours at a time.
Bend and reach repetitively.
Regularly lift 10-pound bags and occasionally assist with 30-pound boxes.
Tolerate bright lights and some noise (e.g. forklifts and heavy equipment, as well as amplified music).
Be prepared for cool mornings and warm afternoons. The warehouse is not climate-controlled.
Please bring your own mask as you may be required to wear it. Volunteers are not required but are highly encouraged to get vaccinated and remain up-to-date on your boosters.
