Volunteer for Pride Day of Service with Alameda County Community Food Bank

Alameda County Community Food Bank passionately pursues a hunger-free community

Volunteer Roles: Volunteers will be sorting, and packing thousands of pounds of farm-fresh produce and dry goods for those of us struggling with hunger.

Date and Time: June 10, 8:30am-11:30am and 12:30pm-3:30pm

Location: 7900 Edgewater Drive, Oakland CA 94621

Requirements:

  • Stand and walk on concrete for up to 3 hours at a time.

  • Bend and reach repetitively.

  • Regularly lift 10-pound bags and occasionally assist with 30-pound boxes.

  • Tolerate bright lights and some noise (e.g. forklifts and heavy equipment, as well as amplified music).

  • Be prepared for cool mornings and warm afternoons. The warehouse is not climate-controlled.

  • Please bring your own mask as you may be required to wear it. Volunteers are not required but are highly encouraged to get vaccinated and remain up-to-date on your boosters.
