The Oakland LGBTQ Community Center's 6th Anniversary Fundraiser: Gala-Ween

This year, attendees will help the Oakland LGBTQ Community Center celebrate their 6th annual gala and anniversary fundraiser with an unforgettable Halloween dance party, Gala-Ween. Join them at Bloc15 in Jack London square, dressed in your favorite Halloween costumes while enjoying food, drinks, and dancing to the best of the 80's music from pop to house to hip-hop and more!

Gala-Ween is hosted by choreographer and dancer Dashaun Wesley, who appears as a judge on the popular show Legendary. He is a prominent member of the ballroom community, and is known for his unique "Dramatics" style of vogue. He has also appeared on the FX series "Pose" as an actor, ballroom consultant, and choreographer.

Volunteers roles include working registration tables, doing coat checks, assisting in parking, ushering and greeting attendees, and event breakdown. The event is on Saturday, October 28th, at Block15 at 252 2nd St, Oakland, CA. Click the link below to see shifts!
