Drag Me to the Cinema GALA

Volunteer for Drag Me to the Cinema! Volunteers get one FREE ticket for themselves.

  • The GALA is in need of 4-5 volunteers to help from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM on Sunday, January 21st at The New Parkway Theater at 474 24th Street Oakland, CA 94612.

  • Volunteers will help with set up, front door/will call, manage their Merchandise/VIP check-in table, and assist with breakdown. No heavy lifting is required.

Two non-profit organizations, Fishnets & Film, Inc. & the Oakland LGBTQ+ Community Center, have partnered up for this Annual GALA. Their program includes LIVE performances, audience-driven Q&As, and screenings of current LGBTQ+ films and film trailers. Hosted by award-winning filmmaker Robby Kendall. With appearances by Amoura Tease, NOBODY'S GIRL, and La Chucha.
