ScholarMatch is Seeking Volunteer College Coaches

Are you interested in dismantling barriers to higher education? Join ScholarMatch as a college coach and help first-generation students apply to college! ScholarMatch provides free, individualized college admissions counseling to underserved high school seniors, and they would love for you to join them to support the class of 2025.

As a college coach in their Destined for College program, you will help students navigate financial aid, build college lists, work on personal essays, and much more. See some of the requirements below.

ScholarMatch coaches are:

  • College graduates

  • Eager to mentor 2-4 seniors through the college application process

  • Available 4-6 hours per month to support students

  • Willing to complete and pass a background check

  • Willing to complete and pass Training Modules

In order for ScholarMatch’s coaches to reflect the diversity of the students that they serve, they encourage applications from potential volunteers who identify as first-generation college students, people of color, and LGBTQIA+ individuals.

How to begin the process:

  1. Review all the requirements their our Get Involved page

  2. Complete the interest form in your email after signing up at the link below

  3. Wait for ScholarMatch to follow up with you!

Thank you for your interest in helping students achieve their higher education dreams! If you have any questions or concerns, please contact volunteer@scholarmatch.org.
