Pacific Center for Human Growth Outreach Team

The Pacific Center for Human Growth's mission is to enhance the mental health and overall well-being of the LGBTQIA+ and QTBIPOC communities by providing culturally responsive therapy, peer to peer support groups, community outreach services, and facilitated workshops. To incorporate strong social justice and trauma-informed frameworks in their clinical training and peer-to-peer support programs that contribute to equitable mental health service delivery. And lastly, to provide the most comprehensive care possible for all who seek their services.

The Pacific Center is seeking volunteers for their Outreach Team, an in-person and ongoing opportunity where volunteers attend fun public events representing the Pacific Center, including tabling, providing information on services, or doing an activity (button making or flyering).

This opportunity is monthly or more (up to you!). Help the Pacific Center reach out to our community so they can continue to provide ongoing free, low-cost & Medi-Cal community care & mental health services.

This opportunity happens in-person at various locations throughout the Bay Area. Transportation can often be done by mass transit but having a car is helpful. This opportunity is great for outgoing volunteers who want to meet people in the community.

Accessibility: Some set-up is required for events, but gear is limited to lightweight boxes or a roller cart. Sitting and/or standing for 2 hours is typical. Many events are outdoors but with high public contact. Public transit can be used but having a car would be helpful.
