Gay for Good California Coastal Cleanup
Gay For Good mobilizes lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ+) and ally volunteers to promote diversity, foster inclusion and strengthen ties to the broader community.
Volunteer Description: Join G4G OC/Long Beach for the 39th annual California Coastal Cleanup Day! This is the state’s largest volunteer event. It’s a chance for everyone in our state, no matter where they live, to help clean up trash from our environment before the rains come and wash it out to the coast and ocean.
Time & Date: Saturday, September 23rd, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Location: Crystal Cove State Park, Newport Beach, CA 92657. Pelican Parking Lot 3.
Important Location Information: For this location at Pelican Parking Lot #3 in Crystal Cove State Park, let the kiosk attendant at the entrance know you’re there for Coastal Cleanup Day and they’ll direct you to the meetup location. Park Fee waived between 8:30am to 11:30am for participants.
Other Information:
Please bring a water bottle, reusable gloves, sunscreen, a hat, and wear closed toed shoes.
Please join their “Bring Your Own” philosophy efforts by bringing your own grocery/retail plastic bags (for reuse), bucket, garden trowel, strainers, sifters, and/or reusable water bottle to make this event as ZERO WASTE as possible! Supplies will be provided for those who do not have them.
