Voter Outreach with Policy:

The fight for trans lives is happening at our local school boards -- and we need your help talking to voters! Join us on doors, learn our signature "deep canvassing" method to change hearts and minds, reduce anti-trans bias, and make a local impact for trans and ENBY youth in Glendale USD. This is a dire moment; there are two seats up for election, and there is a good chance an anti-trans board member will win if we don't inform the community!

Before volunteering with the LA LGBT Center, you must attend an info session via Zoom or in person. Sign up for one here. Once you attend an info session, you can sign up for the opportunity through the LA LGBT Center's volunteer portal.

What to expect beforehand: A phone call from a staffer to make sure you're prepared, and a required story training on the Wednesday evening before the canvass action (on Zoom).

What to expect at the action: A full day of action from 10a-4p in Glendale, which includes breakfast and lunch, a morning training, 2-2.5 hours on doors, a canvass buddy for extra support, and a group debrief.
