G4G LA + LA Zoo
Gay for Good LA is returning to The LA Zoo for a fun day where volunteers will have a chance to show off their creativity painting paper machet balls and boxes for the animal enclosures. These are used as enrichment toys, and treats will be put inside for the animals to eat. Gay for Good has 40 volunteer slots available for this event.
At noon, volunteers are welcome to watch a special keeper talk and animal feeding. After that, volunteers are welcome to stay at the zoo and enjoy the animals!
Date: Saturday, March 23
Time: 9am–12:30pm
Location: LA Zoo, 5333 Zoo Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90027 (Parking will be available onsite.)
What to wear: Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty. The weather should be lovely around then, but bring a hat and make sure to wear your sunscreen!
Consider bringing a water bottle as there are plenty of areas to refill them throughout the day. Volunteers can also visit any of their concessions stands for lunch or snacks.
