Volunteer with the Transgender Health and Wellness Center

The Transgender Health & Wellness Center began as the Transgender Community Coalition (TCC). It is a certified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. In the beginning, its purpose was to raise funds for the first Transgender Day of Remembrance. Due to the strong demand by Southern California’s Transgender, gender non-conforming, and intersex community, they became the largest Transgender organization in the Inland Empire, serving the needs of the local TGI community.

Their dedicated team works in volunteer positions in a wide range of social services—including HIV/AIDS education, housing, employment, linkage to care, legal counseling, and other support needs. Their mission is for this community to reach their highest potential. With over 40 active volunteers, the TH&WC serves in a wide variety of volunteer positions in other community organizations. They do this to ensure that Trans people are visible and have a voice within the wider LGBTQ community.

Services that they provide produce revenue for direct support to the less fortunate in the transgender, gender non-conforming, and intersex community. They provide emergency clothing for LGBTQ+ abused foster children seeking new placement, emergency clothing for those kicked out for who they are, transitional clothing, name and gender change assistance, emergency hygiene supplies, pet and human food, free mental health and much more. Help them make a difference by becoming a Volunteer!

They have locations in Palm Springs, Riverside, and San Diego.
